What we do

Each journey on our roads begins and ends with parking.  It takes such an important role in everyone’s lives and when we look to the future, we all have a desire to live in a cleaner, safer, less congested world where we can move around freely and easily.

Our membership community greatly influences people’s travel decisions as proper and effective parking and traffic management in our towns and cities is so vital for a mobile society.

As the recognised authority in parking we actively represent and promote the valuable work our members carry out every day. We are continually advancing knowledge, raising standards and professionalism, and using our influence to deliver excellence in parking for the benefit of all.

Members know they can turn to their Association for advice, guidance and support to help them meet their daily challenges as parking professionals. As members they also enjoy a wide range of benefits including networking, knowledge sharing, lobbying, campaigning, and professional development.  Members can connect with their peers nationwide to ask questions and share solutions, access specialist research and reports and member only website content including access to the BPA knowledge bank.

The BPA works hard to bring about collaboration between stakeholders, members and government to support local communities and improve compliance with regulations amongst those managing and using parking facilities.  We strongly encourage our members to operate with fairness, transparency and consistency. The BPA is committed to promoting innovation, technology, growth and sustainability and the very highest of standards of professionalism. The BPA are involved in a number of key initiatives, raising important issues that are currently impacting on the parking sector, one of which is the Positive Parking Agenda, led by BPA local authority members.
